Weber’s seven-step refinishing process is thorough:

1. The old finish is hand stripped leaving bare wood.
2. Repairs are made and gouges are filled in.
3. The surface is sanded to a smooth finish.
4. Grain is hand painted over any large filled areas to match
   the original.
5. Sealer is applied to the wood to seal the pores.
6. Stain of your choosing is applied to the wood.
7. Finish coatings are applied to complete the refinishing.
